Asian Champions Trophy Men’s & Women’s to be held at Ordos from September 3-11, India (men’s) will be missing the services of senior players like Arjun Halappa, Shivendra Singh, Dharamvir, Tushar Khandekar and Bharat Chhikara. While Shivendra is recuperating from a collar bone fracture, Halappa and Khandkar are suffering from groin and ankle injuries respectively, on the other hand Sandeep Singh & Sardara Singh leaved the Banglor coching camp. But India chief coach Michael Nobbs said, “I think I am happy with the team. All the selectors and coaches were unanimous on team selection. While selecting the team we kept in mind not just this tournament but also Australian tour and Champions Trophy in December-2011.”

Women’s Asian Champions Trophy :-
The first-ever Asian Women’s Hockey Champions Trophy was organised in Busan, (South Korea). Besides the host, China, India and Japan participated. Before arriving for the tournament, Indian coach was sacked after being reported for abuse of Women’s Hockey Team. Sruprisingly, the players showed their mettle by winning the Bronze. South Korea won the final by defeating Japan 2-1. . After half-time they were leading 1-0. India finished third defeating China 2-1. For India Saba Anjum and skipper Surinder Kaur struck the goals,But India has lost all the matches at group stageWomen’s Teams-2011-- Korea ,India ,Japan, China
